Artist Statement - Resume - C. Turner Cornett |
| ARTIST'S STATEMENT When I was born, I lived in a world of jewel-like color and
things did not exist. I saw the world as a pattern of ever changing
colors.
Between the age of nine and ten, a teacher realized that I had a vision
problem. Then I saw the world for the first time. There was this
new connection to the world, both wonder and awe. It was such an
exhilarating experience, the trees, the water, and my mother and father.
There are days that have a timeless life of their own, and live on in our
memories. Oil paint is what I like to use to capture the color of
these special days and moments in the lives of people. |
